I got hooked on Katherine Center's novels this year. Margaret Jacobsen is injured in a plane crash, unable to walk, life seemingly completely over. She has lost her fiance, and her independence. Margaret is learning to overcome and live with her new reality. Katherine Center handles Margaret's situation with grace and wonderful writing style. I really enjoy how she writes her characters. As a physician, I was skeptical that she could handle the medical aspects of the book. There were a few medical inaccuracies, but I was able to overlook them because the story was just so enjoyable. I was rooting for Margaret the entire time. I think Center made the story relatable, and truthful. I finished this novel so quickly, perhaps in one evening and was so sad when it was over!
