How to Walk Away by Katherine Center is a great read. From the very beginning, Center draws you right in. She makes Margaret likable but real, and you experience her emotions with her even in just the first few pages. While the book can be sad at times, this is an overall uplifting story that demonstrates the power of resilience and hope. The only thing I disliked about this book is that it seems like Margaret falls for Ian too quickly. She is only in the hospital for a total of 6 weeks, yet she already claims to be in love with him. While I do understand that having such a tragic accident can have that affect on someone, the story would have felt more realistic if Ian and Margaret had known each other for a bit longer. Ultimately, however, I feel it is important to read about Margaret finding love again and can overlook this flaw to appreciate the endearing and heartfelt story. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to be inspired and see that it truly is possible to bounce back from tragedy.
