The promise of change is prominent on the book cover due to the colorful flowers impeding on the reds of the background. The airplane is blended into the back of the book cover giving the impression that it is a part of the past and hints that this might be a part, or a symbol, of one of Margaret's family secret discoveries. Yet readers cannot help but wonder at the opposite. Perhaps the plane symbolizes how Margaret will learn to navigate the crossroads of her life and find new horizons.

Overall, I like all the 'what if's' the book cover entices. It borders on abstract symbolism, but it pairs well with the accompanying synopsis and heightens the urge for readers to learn more about Margaret's life.
