Humans are complex creatures. They can love and lose love in an instant and still hope for more love later. They can love even when they are terrified. And they can mourn the loss of love while finding new love, though not always in the way that they think they will.
It seems that this book will explore the strange yet innate ability we have to love in the face of tragedy, loving someone even though they may not realize what they are doing to you because they can't see past their own desires, and finding how to love again when your plans are destroyed and you are forced to create a new future for yourself.
I can only hope that the rest of the book explores these themes as well as the first 19 pages did!
