This book was a 2.5 stars for me.

What got me interested in this book was the title. And I was disappointed because I feel like the title has nothing to do with the story. Yes the characters are witches, but that's as far as it goes.

The writing itself was ok. The way it was written, it was kind of a fast read.

The plot was ok as well. It was about a teacher who grooms his female students so he could have a sexual relationship with them and it seems like he always goes for those who he thinks are alone or needs help in some type of way. So in this one, He was already having a relationship with one student, while he was starting to groom the main character, Shay.

Shay was very naïve because even though she felt very uncomfortable with the teacher. when he placed a hand on her shoulder, or did one on lessons with her or say things like how pretty she is, she still went along with it all because she wanted the scholar ship that he was able to help her get. That annoyed me big time.

And also the author wanted to write about so many social things as well. Like not only about the grooming, but also racism, and how rich people get away with things, about lgbtq. It was like, Just stick with one topic, please, because everything else just felt like it was written in there just so people could say this author is "woke".

Also, I didn't like the ending. This is a fictional novel. Make the teacher actually pay for his actions. I don't want an ending of what happens in real life, which is just a slap on the wrist.
