I think the cover is average, but good enough for the genre. The summary sounds interesting and appeals to a bit of bookishness /nerdiness inside me that likes academic competition and “dark academia” type books. I was let down by another book in a similar genre promising academic rivalry / competition, but hopefully this one focuses on that aspect as that is what its main selling point is to me. Excerpt reveals a very YA style, lots of tropes involved I’m sure in this one. We’ll see!
