My young teenage self would have loved to read this book. It’s well-written, clever and creative with interesting characters. I didn’t like it at first because the straight-A, stressed out, competitive teen trope seemed a bit heavy (and made me feel stressed out). But as the story developed, I could see why it was necessary and soon became curious about how Shay will handle all that’s on her plate and hopefully learn about herself along the way.
