When I first saw this book on here, my first thought was "a glowing review from Aiden Thomas means a must read from me." Beyond that, the cover was instantly a plus because we see a truly diverse group of characters. As a true "Potter Kid" as we are often called, I have been looking for new books about magic schools to fill that certain void in my heart. After reading the first look, I can say that this book is definitely it for me. Dad jokes and over-bearing parents will always be a plus for me and I loved the voice of our main character, Shay. I definitely am looking forward to this release and I hope to see it gain the success I think it deserves!
