The cover caught my eye immediately because of it's bright colors and it's fantasy aspects. I'm a fairly new reader of middle grade books but I have found so many that I have loved, and I think this one would be one too.
I loved how the book was based on Roman/Greco mythology and already includes a mythological beast in the First Look. The First Look made me interested in the struggle that Giada will face as her desire to become an animal healer is in conflict with the traditions of her family and community. I'm looking forward to learning what happens to her "perfect" brother and how her skills help save him.
