It’s hard to get a good read off of this sample because it was so short, but it looks like this would be great for animal and fantasy lovers. The main character appears likeable, empathetic, and willing to question rules that go against her empathic nature. She broke the rules to use healing magic to help a griffin even though the unwritten rules of the her magical community dictate that their healing abilities only be used on humans. It’s got the potential to be a fun adventure with a kind female protagonist (that’s not a pushover).
