I thought this was a fun introduction to a middle grade story. The First Impression was quite short, but we are introduced to Giada and get a sense for who she is. We immediately sympathize with her and her interest in healing creatures. It seems that she will have a challenge ahead of her to earn the right to treat creatures instead of humans.
