This book reminds me of the books I wanted to read when I was in late elementary school/early middle school. Potions and Gryphons, what more could a kid want to read about? It seems to be very descriptive for a middle grade novel and I think this is great as future readers need to be challenged. I think it is something that a lot of authors lose in their middle grade novels, but am glad to see this author is rising to the occassion!
