While the Goodreads reviews for this aren’t very good, I think the First Look left a good impression for me. I am a huge fan of middle grade fantasy but it is often hard to find relatable stories for adults, so this was a nice surprise. I would love to give this one a chance and even if the book ends up not being for me, it can always be regifted to a younger family member. I liked the writing and I love the cover! We will see!
