Unique historical fiction

I love historical fiction, and I particularly love these types that delve into a topic that's not frequently covered. The Loving vs. Virginia ruling is not one that I'm very familiar with, and haven't seen much written on this, so I'm interested to see how it's interpreted through the eyes of a middle-school student.
