I love that How to Find What You're Not Looking For addresses topics that can be tough to talk about, and tough to understand, especially for a 12 year old child, the protagonist of this story. Veera Hiranandani, the author of this beautiful book, dives into the topic of antisemitism and what it means to grow up in a society where being different gets looked down upon. Luckily our protagonist is smarter than that and forms her own opinions at 12 years old, opinions that will follow her and hold her up during the toughest of times.
