Delightful characterizations make them easy to visualize and enjoy. While some of the lingo takes minor liberties with the time-period, it clarifies the brutal reality of prejudice. Second person point of view is not a favored writing style for me, but it seems to suit both the story and the young protagonist. The meaning is in the message. Well done.
