Diverse Cast of Characters

I think this story has the potential to become an incredibly important read for the middle grade ages. Told from the point of view of a child and focusing on the changing world around her, it’s reminiscent of To Kill a Mockingbird. The characters are diverse, which will never not be relevant. This book is definitely going places.
