Coming off age in the 60s

This is a nice story about a young Jewish girl growing up in the 60s. Learning about prejudice and racism not only in the world around her but in her own family as well. A lot of heavy themes in this middle grade book. I'm interested to see how the author tackles these ideas to young readers.
