This book is about a teenage girl who is dealing with depression, recovering from sexual assault, and the death of a parent. She has been through a lot of trauma and is trying to heal during a dark time in her life. On top of that, she is trying to figure out her sexuality. Once again, I kept seeing this book all over social media. I had really high expectations for this book but sadly, it didn't meet them. I read this mainly because I like reading stories that discuss mental health in them and this one did an okay job with it. There wasn't anything necessarily bad about it, it just wasn't great. I really wish they had discussed dissociation more in detail because that's what I thought the book would heavily discuss based off the title. This book was not for me, but I'm sure there are other people out there who would love it if they read it. Two stars.
