I first picked up this book because my friend recommended it to me. I normally don't enjoy realistic fluffy fiction so I didn't have high expectations for it. BUT IT BLEW ME AWAY. This book deals with real, hard, and controversial topics, that aren't talked about in literature enough. Reading the book feels like you are directly in the mind of the main character, feeling all of her emotions, thoughts, and her pain. It is rare that a book makes me cry, but this one sure did. It is one book that you have to be in a good mental place ti read this, as processing the anguish and pain the main girl goes through isn't easy at all. It is a powerful portrayal of mental illness and because of that there are mentions of depression, suicide attempt, suicide thoughts, panic attacks, loss of a loved one, grief, and loss. Keep that in mind while reading. xo
