Biz’s story is one of sadness and heartbreak. After her father dies, Biz sees him everywhere. They have conversations about their lives and she is doing everything she can to keep him from disappearing. At the same time, Biz becomes friends with a boy named Jasper who saves her from drowning. While the friendship is tense and awkward at first, Jasper becomes her confidant. Biz hopes that together they can solve the mystery of her father’s past and possibly save Biz’s future.
What I liked most about this story was the relationships between Biz, her family, and her friends. Losing a parent is devastating and I felt awful for Biz, but I enjoyed watching her trying to build her life around it and seeing where her relationships would go once she had the answers she needed.
