This story fully immerses the YA feel...the language, writing style, and cover art. I don't read a lot of YA, but enjoy the ones I do read. The visualization is great, and I enjoy the author's voice. I'm not a huge fan of present-tense writing, but after several pages it doesn't seem to stand out as much.
