Immediately you get a sense of the whirling up and down that is the mind of Biz. Helena Fox does an excellent job creating an atmosphere of anxiety and instability and stress. The life of a teenager is intense enough with the pressures of society along with a roller coaster ride of hormones, but add in the death of a parent at 7 years old and (what I anticipate to be revealed) a struggle with a mental illness and you get a deep dive into one girl's tangled mind that this book will hopefully unravel.
