When I first started reading this First look I wasn’t sure how much I’d be able to read. My daughter struggles with depression and I was afraid it might be too much. However I feel like the author did a beautiful job of weaving in teenage feelings and uncertainty along with hints of struggling with being somewhat disconnected from life. I also like how her dad’s influence and death is told in hints and memories. I started the first look unsure if I’d like it and ended it sad there wasn’t more to read! I can’t wait to finish it!
