I liked how much this book was relatable to all young people out there. I think we all have struggled to fit in and find ourselves the same way the main character has. This book is so real and raw but also very clever. Its like a good friend. It makes you feel less alone because you realize that other people face challenges in life too, maybe you’re not the only one who feels stuck sometimes. I recommend this book to anyone who needs a friend who understands because i felt as though while our problems are different we share the same feelings of sometimes wanting to run away. Not only was this book relatable but it was also representing people of different nationalities. The media rarely shows people of color going through life, and everyday struggles. The importance of family in ethnic families was also beautifully shown. As a person of color i understand the having different dreams or goals than your family might want for you aspect if this book. Go read it!!
