I found Amir to be likable and pleasant. He’s faced with a conflict, doesn’t know what to do, and feels telling his parents he is gay will just cause more problems. Leaving the country is not the best solution, but he is trying to spare his parents from any heartache they might have from the situation. I’m curious what will happen between Amir and his family, but will leave that to others to find out.
