Wow. From the very start this book captures the attention of the reader by throwing them right into Amir's story as he is detained on an airplane. I have, after reading this short excerpt, found myself pining after the rest of Amir's story. I love that this story focuses on a gay Muslim Iranian main character. This will certainly be an important addition to the YA canon.
