I enjoyed reading this excerpt. I haven't read any of Ahmadi's other books but this book has me interested in his other works. How It All Blew Up is refreshingly raw. Right from the beginning you know the situation so all that's left to find out is how Amir got to where he is on page one! But this a book we need today. A gay boy. A gay Iranian boy. I would like to have seen more "blow-up" on the cover.
