Representation is so important in the YA world & I love how this story is based on true events. I think the premise sounds very interesting and having a cover blurb by Angie Thomas definitely captures my attention. However, I wasn't fully emerged in the writing style of the author and wasn't fully sold. I would love to see this book reviewed by some own voice bloggers prior to picking up a copy myself.
