This is neither the stereotypical adolescent story, nor the stereotypical story of differences in religious families. Instead, it is a combination of teen angst, associated fears about revealing that the protagonist is gay to his very conservative Middle Eastern Muslim family, and the assumption on the part of the airline staff and at least several other people that an argument between Middle Eastern people has to be about terrorism. This looks like a very interesting story!
