The set-up for this story is unique, but I didn't care for the back and forth between Amir's past and the current timeline (in the interrogation room). As an adult reader of YA, I prefer books that don't feel like they're pandering to a YA audience with their language, and this one had a bit of that feel in the dialogue and some of Amir's inner thoughts. I'm not rushing to read this one but might keep it in mind for later.
