The format of this book is really engaging. Amir and his family are currently in interrogation rooms at the airport after having a family disagreement on an airplane. They were bringing Amir back from Rome. Through the story, Amir keeps flashing back to how he ended up in Rome in the first place. I want to keep reading.
Amir is gay, and he hasn't told his parents. He met a boy at his new HS and they have been secretly dating for awhile. I think anything more is a spoiler. I will say this is really readable and relatable. A coming of age story, a coming out story, and a family story all together. Can't wait to read more!
