I Liked the Excerpt, but I'm Not Sure If I'll Read the Book

I found the excerpt interesting. I liked the multiple perspectives and the nonlinear storyline. The pacing was odd, as many things seemed to be skipped off, but maybe that's just expected from the nonlinear format. I really wanted to know more about the MC and how he got to this point. I would maybe be interested in reading further BUT I looked this book up on Goodreads and it doesn't have a very good average rating. I think this is a book I am curious about, but I'll wait until it comes out to and I can learn more about the book.
