Good YA Read
Okay, first of all, I loved the introduction to first chapter transition. It got me interested in the story, since I knew more than just what the main character was experiencing and wanted to know more about where the story was going! If I had started reading just the first chapter I may not have been quite as on-the-edge-of-my-seat to continue the story. (Not that the first chapter isn't interesting... this says more about my own attention span and interest in the bigger picture of the story!)
I love the voice / writing style of the book. It's easy to follow, and my brain needs that right now, without feeling "childish" or boring. This is YA, after all.
Personally my biggest negative has been the language used in the book. I haven't picked up on much substantial profanity but I prefer my books with none rather than some. But overall it hasn't detracted from the story as much as some.
