The hype was very real with this young adult fantasy novel, House of Marionne, so I was definitely very excited to get my hands on this book! The cover is extremely eye appealing. House of Marionne has high stakes magic and mischief and was reminiscent of Caraval. Lot of trickery and well thought out characters where not everything is as it seems. The first few chapters flew by and then I hit a small lull. Eventually the world building picked and the pace of the story started to really get going. Overall, I was pretty pleased with this. It's hard to go into detail about the plot without spoiling it so I won't even try! What I will say is that I did enjoy it even though it was a little slow in some sections. For the most part though it was good. They hype for this book is true and I can see many others adding it to the tbr pile. Well, that just about covers it!
