For some reason, I kept getting reminded of Barbie Princess Charm School by this. And a little bit of Harry Potter. I guess this is what their love child might look like.
I am a sucker for dark academia, which is why I knew this was right up my alley from the blurb. I am also, as I have recently come to realise, a sucker for elegant, brooding men in tuxedos.
House of Marionne seems quite similar to Hogwarts, actually, but a darker twist of it. I really liked the world-building, though I don't think I connected that deeply to the characters. They felt a bit bland to me, and I realised that I barely cared what happened to them. This might change with a bit more development in the sequel, or maybe not. However, I did enjoy the plot and the overal concept and idea of the story.
The ending left me excited about what is to come, and I am definitely looking forward to the next installation!
