This sounds so interesting and so dark as well. I'm just as lost as Quell. Like, she has magic, but does her grandma know its dark magic? That it's a "poison" as her mom called it? Or is this magic the one she will develop and enhance? Clearly she joins the school, since it's said in the book summary, but I'm wondering if grandma knows about the toushana or not. Anyways, this was all very interesting and I'm really invested in what happens to Quell and her mom.
