This seems like a pretty standard YA fantasy with some enemies to lovers thrown in. Seems like it will be a wholly satisfying read if you like that combination.
The magical world is exclusive, wealthy, and glamorous so if you’re into debutante atmosphere then the first chapters seem to promise that. At the same time there’s a nice gritty assassin-y side since the induction is not into “society” but rather a magical order. So the concept is pretty fun and easily readable. I wasn’t crazy about some events or plot aspects that felt forced but they’re the kind of thing I can overlook in a YA fantasy.
All in all it seems like a fun, easy to read YA about magical societies. Also the cover is gorgeous.
