From the first look, it's apparent that House of Marionne will be fast-paced, action-packed, and rich in intrigue and world-building. From page one, I absolutely loved the internal struggle and the promise of a complex magical world that mixes the modern day and what felt like Victorian England. I also loved the nod to classic murder mystery stories... spooky, secluded alleys and the foreshadow of much darkness to come.

The synopsis mentions that Sarah J. Mass readers will love this book, and I can absolutely see why. It's definitely in the same vein as Throne of Glass. It will definitely appeal to readers of YA fantasy, but I think it'll also be a win for readers of mystery and Victorian romance stories. It's combining a lot of elements, and at least from this initial snippet, it's totally working.

The cover is stunning. I can't wait to read more of this one to watch budding romance, magical powers, and self exploration develop. This has the potential to be a fantastic series.
