I just loved the cover of this book. The story, though, not so much. There are very few fantasy books that I enjoy and this doesn't appear to be in my wheelhouse. The description sounded so interesting. However, after reading the excerpt, I'm not sure whether I could read anymore about Quell and the rest of the crew. I somehow got lost between the chapters and had difficulty recovering. Too bad, the excerpt didn't get into the training of Quell as that would have been more interesting.
