This book has it all! Magic, adversaries, lovers, and all in between. This is a must-read. This was amazing. a dark academic fantasy novel with a gothic feel? I had no idea I needed a read like this. The magic system was most likely the most intriguing aspect of the novel. The language is lovely, and the world-building is amazing. I'm hoping for a sequel because that ending! in such a darkly DAZZLING world consisting of as many daggers and betrayals as dances and gowns. This book is dark, beautiful, and beautifully gray. Favorite right away.
