So, I often find magic, especially in complex systems like this, very hit or miss for me. But I admit, I am intrigued! First I was drawn in by the lovely cover, of course. I also really love books set in New Orleans (it is always such an atmospheric backdrop!) It seems like the world building is going to be pretty extensive, so I will need to read more to see if the magic system holds my attention, but I like it so far!
