I met J. Elle at an event a couple of months ago, and I loved the way she talked about her books. I have enjoyed her past works, and her unapologetically human writing style. It also helps that her last few books took place in my hometown of Houston. The fantastical element of J. Elle's stories made me appreciate the city a lot more, and I was really happy to see this continued in this first look. I liked how human the characters feel, and I was happy to see diverse stories being told in a natural way.
