What a weird story that was!
A quick recap: 3 girls go missing as children and come back a month later changed. Their father does not believe the girls are his baby girls and goes insane. Years later, the older sister goes missing and the 2 younger ones go after her. You learn of a world between life and death, where those go who have unfinished business. A monster is chasing the sisters trying to take them back to this world. They end up in the halfway world and the truth unfolds.... this is where I will leave you as I don't want to give up any spoilers.
If it were not for the mystery of the book, I would have put it down closer to the beginning. It had a slow start to it and took me a bit to get into the mystery itself. It held enough of my interest to get to the end where I put the book down and asked myself, "What in the hell did I just read???".
A very strange, bizarre, and just weird story. Give it a try if you are into those things.
