House of Hollow was one of my most anticipated releases for 2021, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The story focuses on Iris Hollow and her two sisters, Grey and Vivi, who, after a mysterious disappearance ten years ago, aren't the same. After reappearing, their eyes turn black, their dark hair turns milky-white, and they bear identical, half-moon scars. Now seventeen, Iris still doesn't know what happened to her and her sisters all those years ago. When Iris's sister Grey, who has become a model and designer, goes missing, Iris and Vivi must track her down while contending with various supernatural obstacles, including a man in a bull skull.
I really liked the pacing of this story; it felt natural and help the plot flow. Also, I have to say, I predicted the twist and figured out who the man in the bull mask was early on, but that didn't make the book any less enjoyable. House of Hollow will certainly appeal to fans of mystery, horror, and fantasy.
