The writing is an eerie, macabre of haunting beauty and poetic intrigue. I was drawn in from the start. I love how Sutherland has built her world, the way she describes it so dreary and yet mystical. You immediately feel the mystery and strangeness she is going for. Having only read three chapters, it's hard to say much about the plot except that I have high hopes for it. This is the kind of story that sends your mind on a wild goose chase in hopes of determining what will happen before it does. The characters are compelling and the epitome of what being a woman is like. Each girl a prime example of what every woman has felt for years: bold, angry and scared.
I loved each line of this book and look forward to picking up my copy.
