This is set in modern day Europe with a dark twist - a dark fairy tale shrouded in mystery. As the characters in the story become drawn to and follow Grey, so will you as if she whispered right in your ear! You'll quickly come to like the protagonist, Iris, and want to keep on reading to unravel the mystery with Iris, Vivi, and Tyler. My only issue is that when you finally learn the truth about what happened when the three sisters were young, you may also wonder why or how it happened that way: why was what they had to do the only way to return? In any case, I really enjoyed House of Hollow.
This is the first book that I've written by this author. I really enjoyed her writing style and immediately became immersed in the world of House of Hollow. I kid you not - at one point, I closed the book to eat and I thought I caught a whiff of something that reminded me of the smell that is everywhere in this book. When you finish reading, you'll need some time to come back to reality!
