A Stunning Cover with a Just as Stunning Tale Inside
This book was both off putting and addictive at the same time; I didn't want to put it down, but sometimes I had to. Oftentimes dark fairy tales like this can get bogged down with lore or just uninteresting information, but this book certainly did not have that problem.
This tale pulls you in instantly and keeps you wrapped around it's finger until the end. All three Hollow sisters are mysterious and interesting and their final arc holds up. Honestly all the of characters featured in this book were pretty fleshed out.
The twists were satisfactory and while the writing was sometimes flowery it was easy to follow. I like the the author wasn't afraid to get a little gory and dark while still maintaining a whimsical atmosphere. She also added in humor through the character of Tyler Yang, which gave reprieve to the sometimes heavy subject matter. Highly recommend!
