Perhaps it's only because I'm reading another book right now that has fairy changelings in it that I feel pretty sure where this one is going... but nevertheless, the first few chapters really drew me in! Sutherland's three sisters are fascinating. The youngest, Iris Hollow, for all her strangeness, is the most "normal" which makes her a good POV character.
I really enjoyed this First Impression. It may have gotten me out of a bit of a slump specifically when it comes to YA. I'll be excited to read the rest of it.
