So many fantasy novels today create these creatures that readers can't help but fall in love with, but I don't think that's the case for this book. In fact I think this is going to much more interesting than all of those other fantasy novels.
Right off the bat we are introduced to the main character through her admitting that she is weird. A woman hops on in, eats her hair and then (when going to do the same to others) gets attacked by the main characters' older sisters and mother. How is she subdued?
